Paddle Steamer Britannia at the Landing Stage

Brilliant postcard view. Postmarked June 30th 1909. Ironically the writer has included these words "... sorry to say it's not a good photo."
Built in 1896, she spent much of her working life in the Bristol Channel.
She saw service in both World Wars as HMS Briton and HMS Skiddaw.
Britannia's last trip from Newport was on 11th September 1956 and she was scrapped at Casmores in December that year.
